Lateness is becoming a habit…

Karl Valentin 1021I wish this were an April Fool, but I have to apologise for a potential delay in publishing once again. This time it’s various domestic circumstances that have occurred within the last twenty-four hours. I hope to publish by next weekend. Sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment…

Well, actually…

200 BunnymanI did manage to get the Winter 2018 Showcase published today! Callooh! Callay! So come and join the Bunnyman and his friends over there, and celebrate Hogmanay.

Actually, I don’t think we mention Hogmanay at all, but there’s a goodly amount of other stuff for your delight. So either hover your pointer over the ‘Experience’ tab and scroll down until a link for the Winter 2018 Showcase appears, then click on it. Alternatively, please feel free to click here.

By the way, I check out how the site looks using Google Chrome. If it looks at all odd in your browser, please let me know. I’m not sure there’ll be much I can do about it, but it would be useful to know. Thanks.

Late again!

A Guid New Year tae ane an’ a’!

I’m told I shouldn’t use the ‘apologetic apostrophe’ when writing in Scots, but as a preface to an apology it actually seems appropriate. The Winter 2018 Showcase isn’t ready to go and will, in consequence, be a few days late. I have various twiddles and diddles to do to the site, as well as preparation to the draft Showcase. I know you’ll bear with me.

How to navigate the Showcases (the ‘Experience’ tab).

Some readers have reported that their browser hits a problem when they’re navigating through the Showcases here. They can get the drop-down menu to display, but as soon as their pointer comes to the bottom of the window, the menu disappears. I think the simple answer to this is to hover your pointer over the drop-down menu and roll the thumb-wheel on your mouse. Let me know if this does the trick, folks.

The Autumn 2017 Showcase is now published!

1Hello, dear readers and writers! We have a new Showcase for you today. It is the 25th, and, as you will read in my editorial comments, I’ve been wondering whether the number of pages I can create here is finite. So, when you have read the latest Showcase (which you can by hovering your cursor over the ‘Experience’ tab and scrolling down, or alternatively you can click here) why not go back to the very beginning and wander through the archive of Showcases, clicking ‘like’ as you go, to record your visit.

Something else you can do for me – invite a friend to come and read the new Showcase, feel free to pass the link around.

New readers! Can you write a piece of short poetry that is in-the-moment – a haiku, perhaps – or expresses something very simple in a few words? If so, I would love to hear from you. Click the ‘Submission’ link, find my email address, and get in touch.

Please note that I can’t accept submissions that are made as comments, either here on the Home page or in the comment section of a Showcase. I regret I have to delete them.

I don’t mind actual comments in poetry, though. 🙂
